At Gleneagles Country Club, we do have a small area where you can practice. However, just a tee shot away sits The Mid Iron Club, our nine-hole executive course with a two-acre grass tee driving range.
The course has watered bent fairways, tees and greens; carts are available. The course rating: 25.2.
The Mid Iron Club is where you're sure to meet our teaching professionals: Trev Williams.
It sits adjacent to Gleneagles. The Mid Iron Club is our nine-hole executive course with a two-acre grass tee driving range.
Trev's teaching philosophy is backed up with 22 years of experience as well as 10 years of training. All of which has led him to believe that golf is often taught poorly. If you have taken lessons, you have probably been frustrated by ‘cookie cutter’ teaching methods that don’t seem to take YOU into account. They often DON’T seem to be based on how YOUR body works, or as a student of mine once said, “What feels good to your body”. If you haven’t taken lessons yet because you are afraid that the pro will ‘change everything’…well fear no more! I believe that there is a dramatic under appreciation for FEEL in swing development…what the swing feels like during the swinging motion, which can be different from what is actually happening…what we in the business call ‘feel vs. real’. A new necessary movement may still feel awkward, but asking a student to do something that they are not capable of doing, is something else all together. The good news is developing good foundational fundamentals…grip, setup, ball position, and alignment, can go a long way to hitting consistently good golf shots. And a good ‘pre-shot routine’ is essential to getting those ‘preliminaries’ right. When you watch a PGA Tour pro, you will ALWAYS see a consistent pre-shot routine, coupled with these good preliminaries…because they are always monitoring and working on these essentials so often over-looked by the average golfer. When these are ‘out of sync’, they are NOT contending for titles. When you work with me, you’ll have an instructor who actually listens to you! While I can see what your movements are, whether or not you are in good rhythm, whether or not you are in a ‘relaxed, athletic’ state, I can’t see what you feel going on as you make your swing. That is where the communication between the instructor and pupil is THE DIFFERENCE MAKER in real, Sustained progress. So whether you are 8 or 80, or anything in between, if you’ll give me a chance, I KNOW that you’ll find yourself significantly improving, and have the confidence of understanding what you are doing, so you can repeat your swing when I am not there. We will, together, develop your best golf swing, NOT some theory of what a good golf swing is! I understand the process thoroughly…I have been there myself. After all, I wasn’t born with a good golf swing! So whether you are interested in private, semi-private, private groups (organize your own group!), or enrolling in a group, I have a format that will fit your needs, and a wide range of hours to choose from.
